Received my renewal quote from American Modern Insurance yesterday. When I opened it, I froze at the Declaration Summary Page. The quoted rate had gone up 18% from last year...no claims, no explanation whatsoever. I called American Modern today with no help or logical explanation from them. Hung up with them and called National Corvette Museum and spoke with Sharon. Within 5 minutes, she told me that not only had my rates not gone up they had actually gone down 12% from last year.
So, when those of you who have American Modern Insurance through the National Corvette Museum get your renewal in the mail...you may want to give Adam and his team a call before stroking a check.

Thanks Leif - I am in process of changing from JC Taylor to NCM/American Modern. No issues or claims ever filed, NCM is a lot less expensive.

I don't know how they do it. I was with Hagerty for years, but several years ago I had heard so many good things about NCM Insurance and Adam Boca that I gave them a call when it was time to renew. Exact same coverage, pleasure driving up to 6000 miles per year and my rates went down over $150 per year. And, additionally, they give NCRS members a further discount.

Great company with great discounts. I was lucky enough to get into a better discount tier by adding another car. Turned out the total policy amount after I added the new car was lower than the policy amount before, with one fewer car. You can't beat that.

You guys are lucky to be able to insure with them. Here in NC many of the insurance companies don't or can't insure in this state. I don't recall exactly why, so maybe someone can kick in the the information. For the last two years I have been with Infinity and just learned that Hagerty recently bought them. I fit in under the wire prior to March 1 where Infinity insures me through next year and then it switches over to Hagerty. My agent told me that Hagerty and Grundy will be the only two offering classic car insurance in the state of NC come this time next year. With only two companies offering coverage I am going to have to hold my breadth when I get my new quote next year.
