The jack for my late 70 is "G 0" July of 1070 the "V" referenced in the JM is pointed the opposite direction and there is no "A"? All other aspects of the jack are correct. my guess is thay anything can happen to hand stamps and my jack is correct, comments? thanks ronnie

Re: 1970 jack marking splitting hairs!
Ronnie,
Attached is a photo of a jack that looks very similar to a new SERVICE JACK that I bought from my local Chevrolet dealer back about 1980 or 1981, GM # 3958710, and listed for 53-72 Corvettes in my 1972 Corvette Parts Catalog (Sept. 1971). I had my original 1966 Corvette jack but I bought it because it was only $38 list price ($28.50 my cost with my 25% discount). It was stamped "9C21" (March 21, 1979) on the block near the thrust bearing. It looks nothing like the 1968-1972 factory issued Corvette jacks as it is much narrower and does not have the letter "A". I assume it was made by a different manufacturer. I sold it several years ago for cheap $.
