I have a 70 350hp 4 sp delivered to CT new in late April 70 it has the evaporative control charcoal canister in the drivers inner fender and a Q jet carb 7040507 that Judging guide shows as NA9 Calif emission 350 hp 4 speed
emissions sticker is the white AX this all appears to be original, carb dated Dec 69 the window sticker does NOT show
NA9 emissions no smog pump
I remember some of the eastern states adopting CALIF emissions in the 70's I am about ready for judging so I want it right,
I really hesitate taking anything off the car that appears to have been original- even if it is not " as normally seen"
And yes, I realize this is a high production UAW assembly line, stuff happened. Just odd canister, CA carb and still no NA9
Does this all make sense as original / proper as seen "AS IS" or am I misunderstanding JG
Thanks,
Bob
