Nice job on the swap. I was fortunate to obtain the stock air system with the injection system. Love the emblem!

To me that's the important factor. Drive what it is you want. I enjoyed back in 64 with my fuelie I had the opprtunity to do it one more time before I close my eyes so I 'm going for it. Will start over the next 2 months. Stay tuned. Enjoyed my first ever car & coffee yesterday. My neighbor picked up his BB 66 the same day I received mine.

I cannot use the stock air cleaner because the alternator is in the way. I am designing a custom system that looks like this

          Dear Pedro,

Love you doing it your way!!!!!

As we are getting older the availability of original C-2's are getting scarce or at least those that can be restored to original. Now comes those C-2's that can be made into resto-rods and sold in the 200K range to people who always wanted a Corvette and have the money to own one.

I'm all for this as my first Corvette was a 1964 FI Roadster that I bought for $175.00. And yes it also had ZO-6 brakes! And no I didn't know what ZO-6 brakes were then!

Again, do it your way and enjoy these last years!!!!!

Added the fuel pump, alternator and pully. So almost having all what I need to start my engine swap. Still need the core support and will probably go to Coffman for that. They were a pretty good fit on the C3's.
                Merry Christmas to everyone!

Roger, great car and it sounds like you have some fun plans in store for it!

In terms of bringing the car to an NCRS meet, you have options. LOTS of options.

                  1. Just drive over and say hi, don't register the car for anything. People would love to meet you and see the car.
                  2. Register the car for Sportsman, not much more involved than #1, but you spend a little money to help support your local Chapter and you get a ribbon out of the deal! And you can still show off the car and talk to the people there.
                  3. Register the car for Concours Judging. Here, we are NOT looking for factory original or correctly restored cars. We just want to see what you've got! Given the photos you've posted and the care you are taking, the car will do well.
                  4. Register the car for Flight Judging. Here is where we ARE looking for factory original or correctly restored cars. There will be significant deductions for the aftermarket wheels, the FI unit, ETC. But I don't think that is your goal, right? Your goal is to enjoy the car, and pursue something else other than what GM built. And there isn't anything wrong with that.

                    Re: Glory Days

Thank you Chris for giving me that information. I was fortunate enough to get new skinnies and the otiginal wheels and caps. I would put those on for the show. That would make it realy closer to original. Even with the FI unit it could also be closer to original but anyway like you mentioned it's all about meeting people and driving these wonderful machines.
                    Regards
                    Roger
