What about stamped in numbers and other details?
63 is a one year only booster. #2574 is stamped on one of the tabs. Apparently it is not unusual to see passenger car units restamped with that number so be careful. The Master cylinder for non PB and PB cars is the same except for on PB cars they added a bleeder near the brake line entry.
The MC cap has a thumb screw on non PB cars and the thumb screw is changed to a hex bolt on PB cars apparently to provide some additional clearance.

Hi Dave, thank you for the answer, the MC is available in varying degrees of correctness, but not having any luck on the booster, is it the angle that prevents the 64 from being used?
More than curious what can be made to work, more correct than not...

The 64 booster should be a functional unit for a 63 but the configuration/appearance is slightly different

I scored an original 63 booster and had it restored; I'm not sure other years will work.
However Vern Frantz - a very smart guy on such topics (and passed just last Valentine's Day sadly), said that 63 passenger car boosters will work.

63 passenger car boosters are the same as the Corvette boosters but have different part numbers. The difference is the mounting brackets, the fire walls are different on the cars so the mounting brackets are different. If you want to use a passenger car booster you will have to install the Corvette style mounting brackets. I think LI Corvette sells the brackets.

Thanks for jogging my memory - that is exactly right, with a bracket swap the passenger boosters will fit and look original sans the part number.

Frank, Do you know what the numbers are that are stamped on the booster?

I believe the number 2574 is on a tab extending from the outer circumference of the booster, look closely at these pictures:
