How many gallons of coolant? 1967 big block

I have a new DeWitt aluminum radiator and plan on using the Zerex G-05 coolant. Ho many gallons will it take? It is a big block 390hp car.

My 65 big block took 3 gallons of G-05 and almost 3 gallons of distilled water. I believe the "official" capacity is listed at 22 Qts. but don't know if that includes the heater core.

The cooling system capacity for a 1967 big block with heater is 23 quarts. Assuming that you have a DeWitts Direct Fit aluminum radiator and assuming that it has the same coolant capacity as the original radiator, that should be the capacity of your system.

22 quarts includes the heater core. 21 without.

Thanks Joe. I'm running a DeWitt's direct fit but it's the larger HP series. That must be why mine took a bit more to fill.
