Looking for information on what information was stamped on the second box on the foil label on the compressor. Can not make anything out of the remains of the original and the search feature only gave me the date format. Any examples on what Frigidaire stamped in that box? The reproduction label is left blank and the topic of the font and size of the stamping to use comes up with a search but is there more than just a date stamped there? Any images , suggestions or comments will be appreciated!

Re: 66 air conditioning compressor foil lable innformation
John,
It is MM/DD/Y/shift. all the compressors made that Month, day, year and shift will have the same numbers. There were 2 shifts, and sometimes 3 a day. 012561 would be 01=Jan, 25= day of month, 6 = 1966, and 1 = shift 1. That code box is the completion (assembly) date of the compressor.

Re: 66 air conditioning compressor foil lable innformation
Thanks for the information. Does anyone have a photo of an original 1966 compressor tag that they would post here. Would like to see some of the detail such as the centering both horizontal and vertical as well as the indention or lack thereof on the coded information stamped on the foil? Thanks!- Top

Re: 66 air conditioning compressor foil lable innformation
John,
There was NO detail on centering. Depended on who and when they put it in the IBM! good day/bad day. was done (as far as I know) by hand. Don't know if they had automatic IBM's.
