I have a few questions on solid and slotted band clamps... referred to as Type "B" and "D" in the 5th ed. guide. Does anyone...
a) know the number of the type "B" solid band clamp that per the new judging guide was used up to mid production on 1959? They have numbers I've seen from 6 up to 12 and higher for air hose, but I'm having trouble determining the size range of each. I guess they should be approx 2 1/16" like the Tower clamp. I'm assuming these were Wittek, but maybe someone knows otherwise.
b) know what the cutoff of "mid production" was for these clamps in 1959, when it then cut over to the SAE type "C" tower clamps?
b) have a Wittek catalog and could write down the numbers sizes etc from the catalog for our reference?
c) know if the slotted band clamp was Wittek and if so, numbering/size?
d) have a reproduction source for these clamps if I can't find originals? So far, I can't find them on the usual sites.
below are the "D" clamps I'm referring to...
