I have been rebuilding my front suspension and following Tom Parsons post on how to do it..
I have two questions about how much play is acceptable when putting things together.
I am attempting to assemble the front spindles to the supports. My first task was to install the new bushings to the supports and i noticed what might be a lot of play as i can hand tighten them all the way till seated. Until the last few threads i can wiggle the bushing and hear it rattling.. is this a problem or is it ok once everything is tightened up?
My second question is on the lower a arms, i can thread by hand three of the four welded nuts on the outer shafts.
Is this acceptable or do i need to replace the lower a arms?
I haven't been able to try the upper a arms yet as the new parts are still on back order.
I had taken a video but haven't been successful to figure how to upload them.
Appreciate any help.
