In the 1967 6th edition of the Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide on page 90 it states; "The carrier is painted semi-gloss black and held in place by the V-shaped reinforcement bracing assembly that is constructed of two steel angle bars that are welded to the stamped latch." Is this correct? Or should the fiberglass carrier be bare fiberglass and only the angle iron reinforcements be painted?

John,
I don't have my 7th edition TIM&JG in front of me but I can tell you that my '67 carrier is natural (bare) fiberglass and the v-bracket is semi-gloss...never any point deducts.Attached FilesLast edited by Leif A.; November 30, 2019, 05:57 PM.Leif
