Re: RIP Bill "Billy C" Clements
Thanks to Vinnie Peter's call from Frisco, I learned that Bill C had passed the Sunday before, courtesy of a long time friend from Lubbock who was at Frisco. He had not been well for a while. The last time I and a number of others had the pleasure of his company had been at a Loughlin Regional a couple of years before. He was his same jovial, story-telling self, a personality that rivals description.
Many years before, another Texan, Carter Pirkle, had described the beginnings of NCRS as "Unless your membership # is less than 5,000, you have no idea what NCRS went through to survive.", referring to situations such as Howard Kersch advancing the costs of printing of The Corvette Restorer.

The proper response might be "unfortunately", however just another example of tears shed, I seem to remember a few people laughing so hard they had tears in their eyes, on that one.- Top

Re: RIP Bill "Billy C" Clements
Sad to hear that Billy C died. Never met anyone quit like him. He was funny & there was NOT a question about 50'S music or singers that he couldn't answer. I loved being around Corvettes & the shows when most of us were getting in to the hobby/business. RIP.65 350 TI CONV 67 J56 435 CONV,67,390/AIR CONV,70 454/air CONV,

Re: RIP Bill "Billy C" Clements
When I talked to Bill about some work a few years ago, he told me to get with it as he was slipping and didn't know how long he could continue.
That kinda told me he wanted to help regardless of his condition.
