    Fuel Injection Adapter Plate Mark

I have seen a stamp on some (but not all) Fuel Injection adapter plates (intake manifold) above the left (drivers) side front cooling passage. Does anyone know what this is for or means? I have heard some theories but not a definite answer. Thanks, Don H.

Under the category of WAG, I call it an inspector's mark.
