Do you think the engine paint is original? It looks fresh.

Is the distributor off one tooth? The VAC typically points behind the shield bracket.

What's the unused bracket bolted to the intake near runner #8?

The rocker covers were leaking like a sieve due to being over tightened multiple times over the years, same with the trans pan. I told him to make sure he got NOS silver gaskets, (however I also told him not to paint anything on the engine with orange paint.) He was worried that something had been painted on the engine because the dist clamp had orange paint - I told him no that was installed when it was painted.
I find no indications engine has ever been painted, engine has never been removed and car has 19k miles and was kept in a climate controlled garage.

there are 2 brackets for the hard line to the distributor from the CEC solenoid - & with the distributor clocked as it is the rear clip is not utilized for the vacuum hardline -
I need to check to see if there is any indication that a line was ever clipped in the location.
