901 engine coil

OK i know either is correct,when it comes to judging, what difference would it be if i use a Delco 901 china coil,
versus staying with a GM style coil, as far as points deductions. Mr. El Cheapo thanks for the input

Louis, can you define "generic". Is that an overseas repro, an AC Delco from NAPA or...... what? What is the part # and where did you get it. Thanks.

the chinese repos have a pair of stainless steel studs to attach the coil wires. easy for judges to spot. and they have the lifespan of a puppy pee pee flea. mike
