Has anyone ever purchased a Muncie trans. from the tranny man in California. I am looking to purchase a restored Muncie m21 transmission for my 66.

Hi William,
The trannyman was most helpful to me several years ago when I found a used 67 Muncie that matched the build date of my car. I called him and asked if he would look it over and give me his expert opinion on how the gears and sliders looked. He agreed so I took the assembled trans over to his shop and we had a good look inside and everything was ok. I ended up rebuilding the trans myself and was able to purchase some small parts that I needed. He was vary generous with his time and did not set a fee for his service. I did make a small contribution to his racecar project. His shop is well stocked with all of the tools and parts that are needed to do this type of work. I think you will be pleased with you new transmission.
