    65 Vette - Evaporator Seals

Does anyone know if somebody is reproducing the two small seals on the lower side of my '65s AC evaporator case?
Every reproduction supplier that I've looked at seems to be "reproducing" only a foam version . . . . .

If nobody's reproducing the molded originals, does anyone know of somebody who may have a pair that they'd be willing to part with?

    Sorry that I don't have the part numbers . . .
The best I could do is attach a picture of one of my original seals.
    Thanks for everyone's help.

I assume you've checked with Doc Rebuild?

If he doesn't have them I doubt anyone else does.
I know that for a recent heater core replacement I had to reuse some originals as they fit much better.

      Pat,
I bought the deluxe AC seal kit from Doc Rebuild. Their evaporator inlet & outlet core seals are foam.
Sounds like I'll have try and locate a used pair. . . .
      Thanks.

Or, piece together what you have and use so strip caulk to fill in any gaps.

          Pat,
          Thanks for the advice.
I'll give it my best and see if I'll be able to piece them back together.
If by chance I'm not too successful do you know of anybody who may have a set that may be willing to part with?

            Offhand? No.

You might try one of the Corvette recyclers (Sokolowski, Crane, etc). Even Paragon may have one in the junkyard.

I think this MAY BE a GM #3159721 or 33159722. If so, both were discontinued without supercession in April, 1973. These were Corvette-only parts and 47 years is a long time for any then-extant supply to dry up.

                Thanks guys . . .
I just tried Dave Sokolowski, and, he doesn't have any.
                I'll just have to keep looking . . .
