    1962 Heater Sticker/Label

Recently I was asked a question and I need help with the answer.

Does anyone know anything about a sticker/label located somewhere on the 1962 Corvette heater assembly?
    If so:
    1) Where on the heater assembly is this sticker/label located?
    2) What is the size of this sticker/label?
    3) What color is this sticker/label?
    4) What is printed on this sticker/label?
    5) What is the orientation of this sticker/label? Which way does it face? Bottom of sticker/label toward front, back, left side, right side of car?
    6) If there is a sticker/label somewhere on the heater assembly is this a judged item?

I have looked through the 6th Edition of the 1961-1962 Corvette Technical Information and Judging Guide and can find no mention of a sticker/label anywhere on this heater assembly. Does this sticker/label even exist on the heater assembly?

Thanks & Save the Wave ---------- JGM

It's an inspection sticker. Goes on the heater motor plenum on the engine side. Zip carries it under their p/n MF-252. Paragon under p/n 8274. Look again. It must be in the JG someplace.

Thanks for responding Christopher, I appreciate it. If you can, will you please answer the questions number 5 & 6 in my original post to this thread?
I have accessed this item at Paragon & Zip as per your information. I have also gone back carefully through both the 5th & 6th editions of the 1961-1962 Corvette Technical Information and Judging Guides and can find no information in these pages pertaining to any Inspection Sticker located anywhere on the heater assembly, so if it is in these pages it is written in invisible ink.

Thanks again for the Info & Save the Wave ......... JGM

I've always seen them on the inboard side top of the heater inlet plenum. Oriented randomly. But, you're right, the JG doesn't mention it. It should have been on page 209 in the 6th Edition. I don't know if that's an error and omission of the JG. Or, perhaps this is one of those items that all the vendors carry that never really came on the car from the factory.

They definitely came on the car from the factory. And they also most definitely are nigh impossible to see while the heater is in the car. On the top of the heater, passenger side, as has been said, near the firewall. Hidden by the package tray and package tray support.

Mike, Is the sticker on the interior side of the firewall Heater plenum, or on the "engine side" of the firewall heater air inlet?

That seems to be the confusion here ? I also remember an "Inspection stamp" in white ink on the Blower Motor under the dash.
