    Hardtop fastener

I am trying to remove the hardtop side anchor. it is on the rear lid on the side by both doors. It is for holding down the hard top. When I turn the lock nut (on the inside) the complete anchor turns. I have tried water pump pliers and vice grips to hold it but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Some times you have to cut them off. I have seen Wayne Womble insert the HT bolt and then spot weld it to be able to remove it.

Personally I would thy an easy out in the hole to keep the ferrell from turning as you try to turn the nut on the back side,

Thanks I will try it. Doing a body off and getting ready for paint - sunfire yellow, factory side pipes, power windows, factory air with 27,700 original miles. Unfortunately the motor is not original.
