I need to get a real good idea what the late 1964 and 1965 Fuel Injection air cleaner adapter,, part number 3846118 really looks like.
I need to duplicate something like this for my custom FI installation on my 64 coupe.
I am specifically interested in the dimensions, and locations of the various openings / tubes coming out of the adapter, as well as the dimensions of the adapter itself.
How big is the actual adapter? Where relatively speaking are the four bolt hole locations? What tubes are coming out of the adapter? Where are they coming out, relatively speaking.
Right now I am aware of three tubes that need to be addressed:
1. The balance tube
2. The road draft tube
3. The choke cold air tube
Where is each of these located relative to the adapter.
Figure that I am planning on having a machine shop / CNC shop attempt to duplicate this part. It does not have to look original.
