    Passenger wiper arm

'66 coupe.... My passenger arm is missing the bottom cover and the spring broke on one of them so I want to replace them but am not sure what I have now. Picture is below. Does this have and adjustment screw? It is magnetic. There's a brushed replacement and a polished replacement with a spring shield available. Early '66 cars had a different finish than later '66 cars. Mine was a February build. Can anyone shed some light on what I have now and which one I should get?

    Thanks in advance
    Greg

yes, the adjusting screw is on the side, facing up. And your Feb 66 car should have brushed arms and holders. It appears that may be what you have. I can barely see your holder, but can see enough to tell it is not original Trico. Replace those or not, depending on how original you want to be.

Thanks Don... I ordered new brushed reproductions but none that I saw have an adjusting screw nor do the ones I have now. Question: Are the '66 arms supposed to have a bottom plate? The repros that I ordered appear to be open on the bottom.

      Regards,
      Greg

Yes, bottom plate, and adjusting screws. Suggest you visit one of the original parts sellers that advertise in the Driveline, and buy good used originals. David Sokolowski in So CAL is an excellent source. Good luck

I spoke with David S. and he said that none of his arms would be show quality i.e. for the most part they were marked up from being removed and put back on through the years. So, I'm going with reproductions that look good but are not correct since my car will never be judged.
