I had my 62's voltage regulator converted to electronic (may have been the last one done in NH). Worked great, hope someone starts doing this again.

My 61 was the prototype for the Wilton conversion, I worked with him over the phone and sent him my V/R as a test mule.... I then bought two more (since sold), they worked perfectly. One damned sharp-minded 92 year old before he passed on. There is a company doing something that works but its $$$ and looks nothing like an original...

all the people who rebuilt Voltage regulators all the did was clean resit the points. If you live near a big city any old generator shop can do that for you .Use Krylon silver to make the base look like cad plating .

I have used Precision Power, Inc. Lancing, MI 800-794-5962. They charged me about $260 for my original rebuild for a 60' last year.

Ken, I think if it can be sold at the same price as the c-2 kits that would be reasonable.

Al ANYONE does or did when restorting or rebuilding a Voltage regulator was to clean the points . I had trouble with one of those high dollar restored regulators. and it could not be fixed . Just take to a old Generator shop if you can find one and have the points cleaned and adjusted . Then spray the base with Krylon silver paint and your done.
