Any reason to keep C2 coroded taillights?

I replaced the decrepit looking tail light with NOS and was wondering if the old lights have any value?
Housing are badly corroded and I don't seen ever fixing them with new one available.
I have regretted tossing other items but seems to be no reason to keep these.
    Thanks
    Rick

I have been looking at my pile of stuff accumulated over the years and am woundering why I kept it all. Benn moving it from garage to shed to garage. Tried selling but no buyers for most of it. It will lay around until my kids throw it out when I am gone or senile.

I did a "parts purge" 4 years back. Have to say its liberating....corroded harnesses, pitted/rusted chrome bits, old valve springs (don't even know where I got them), etc. Sold a bunch and a bunch went in the dumpster. I keep "hot spare" consumables now mainly (fuel pump, starter, alternator, water pump, carbs, etc -- all rebuilt and ready to bolt on).

With the excellent quality of Trim Parts reproductions and the cost of fixing/replating original tail light fixtures I think the old corroded ones are scrap and a lot of shops won't replate them correctly anyway...

Some uber-rare trim parts I keep no matter what, like my spare Andy Cannizzo-restored backup 63 shifter console !!

The only possible reason would be for reference if some issue of "nuances of originality" comes up. As far as ever using these, I would say it's out of the question. These things are made from zinc diecast material. Once it's pitted, it's pretty much over. There are some folks out there that can repair and re-plate zinc diecast but the cost would be prohibitive for parts like these. Restoration of zinc diecast parts is only feasible for parts which are, essentially, unobtainable.

The reproductions made by Trim Parts are made from the original molds! By the time you pay for someone to re-plate them you have spent more than the original reproductions cost and you still have junk!
          What shall I say? Duh!

            Out they go.
I have decided to keep the lens and screws. I am not sure why except they store a lot easier.
            Thank everyone for their input.

The sockets have some value if someone wants to convert back up lights to tail lights without buying a new housing assy.

Advertise them in Driveline. Perish the thought but there are owners out there that are building Bowtie cars out of used parts. I won't call names but there are more than one.
