    1957 oil pan question

Can anyone tell me if a 1957 oil pan has a trap door inside the pan or did this come later in production dates?
    Many thanks in advance.

No trap door, believe that was around 1960+.

        Ken,

Good photos of a correct 57 oil pan in the 56-7 Judging Manual.

Thanks Gary, I looked but did not find the photos, I found a drawing but it was not specific enough.

Best I know, the 1960 Solid lifter engines were the first to have a Trap Door Pan in a Chevrolet Production vehicle.

(Don't discard your pan if it has a trap door inside.)
