Wiper blades/holders for '69 -- what should they look like?

Hi all,

I am having trouble understanding the judging guide when it comes to the wiper blade holders and blades for my '69. Does anyone have any better photos or anything that could help? Are the blade holders supposed to be silver? It looks like it in the photo, but the text in the judging guide is a bit ambiguous.

I am pretty sure that both my all-black blades and blade holders are incorrect replacements, so I am also curious as to whether correct reproductions exist.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The 5th edition that just came out a year or two ago.

"The blade insert (spine) is flat-black plated. The wiper arm and blade have no bright metal in them."

Figures E 9.0, 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3 all show black holders and black arms.
E 9.0 has glare on it; perhaps that appears silver to you?

Yes, figure E 9.0 looks silver to me, and I wasn't sure, since the lines you quoted do not specifically say "blade holders".

So the blade holders are supposed to be black too then? Do you know if any reproductions are available that have the correct Trico stampings on them?

No repros that I've ever seen.
Originals are usually not *that* hard to find.
