WANTED: Certified + Qualified Appraiser for C2 in San Francisco Bay Area

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a qualified and certified appraiser for my 1965 L76 /4 speed equipped Stingray. Car is not 100% stock, but is pretty clean, and it is in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anyone able to recommend someone who has extensive experience with C2 Corvettes, the market over the last few decades, NCRS certifications (e.g. difference between my vehicle and NCRS top flight that would impact the difference in valuations, etc.)?

What type of certification are you thinking about? I'm asking to learn who offers a certification and what type it would be that would be relevant appraising an old Corvette.

Are looking for insurance purposes or trying to find out value of car you own or trying to purchase? In the boating hobby there are two types of appraisers, one you hire if you are buying and one if you are selling.

In the auto appraising business there is NO such thing as a certified appraiser. There is no creditable organization that certifies them. Several are accredited organizations such as ASA, ISA, etc.

Hello Dennis, You may try contacting Chip Davis at " Expert Auto Appraisals ". They are located in Florida, however have agents in the California area. I have a customer who had a 1965 GTO, and 1969 Corvette appraised in California by them for pre purchase. Each vehicle received an extensive inspection resulting in about a 30 page report which included pictures. He purchased both vehicles, and both reports were accurate, highly detailed, and well presented. His insurance agent had no problems insuring the cars with the provided reports. Expert Auto Appraisals phone number is 772-621-2622, cell 561-307-2232. I don't know what he paid for the reports, but know they were worth the price.

Sorry for delayed reply. Going through a divorce. Spouse wants half of value of the cars. Need to appraise 2 vehicles (via a credible and well documented appraisal process from an accredited appraiser) to assess their historic value when they were brought into the marriage (e.g. when I added her to title) and their value today.
