    Joe
The engineers defined and released the prints parts and assembly documentation a year to 6 months ahead of Start of Production

Those prints define everything about every part put on each vehicle

They are a wealth of information

Just out of curiosity since all ‘66 427’s should have 80 pound gauge and and the ‘67 427’s used the 60 pound and 80 pound gauge what oil pump did they used, was it the same?

As Joe already mentioned, the pump was the same but the solid lifter engines used a stiffer bypass spring.

1966 Corvettes with L-36 were equipped with oil pump GM #3860367. 1967 Corvettes with L-36/L-68 were equipped with oil pump GM #3904827. The GM #3860367 was discontinued from SERVICE in November, 1968 and replaced by the GM #3904827. Both the 3860367 and 3904827 were fitted with pressure relief spring GM #3860378 so both pumps produced the same output oil pressure.

1966 Corvettes with L-72 were equipped with oil pump GM #3876868. 1967 Corvettes with L-71/L-89 were equipped with oil pump GM #3904826. The 3876868 was discontinued from SERVICE in December, 1968 and replaced by the GM #3904826. Both the 3876868 and 3904826 were fitted with relief spring GM #3876866 so both pumps produced the same output oil pressure.
