How is the steering column grounded on a 70 with tilt? I have no horn or key buzzer, slow signal light flashes. I have disconnected the steering column wiring connector and have determined the horns and key buzzer works. After looking at the wiring diagrams I can't see how the column is actually grounded. Is it through the rag joint bolts?

Re: steering column ground
To "test" the continuity of the rag joint just clip a jumper wire across the bolts of the rag joint. Then test to see if the horn and key buzzer works.- Top

Re: steering column ground
Rag joint connection good. Took the top of the column apart down to the plastic bushing and plate just above the signal light switch. Turns out one of the contacts was corroded. Cleaned it up and put some electrical grease on it, reassembled and it works. Would like to replace the key buzzer switch but wait and do that later.- Top
