'63 Inside Rear View Mirror

My '63 has a loose mirror to support yoke ball that refuses to stay in place no matter how I configure it. I know the loctite and dimpling the ball process but was looking for a more permanent solution. Are there any service providers that recondition inside mirrors? Not sure I've ever seen one of these mirrors apart.

There is someone called the mirror lady that re plates and conditions the assembly. You could try using google or search on ebay (I've seen her on ebay) for her contact information. You can probably send her your old mirror and she can repair or restore it. I think she is frequently at Corvettes at Carlisle.

I have an original mirror for a 63.
It has some light rust on the back side, may clean up.
It holds in place.
