59 frame marking

in 56 57 - the color of the car was marked on the front crossmember in grease pen
There is a photo of a couple frames in Nolans book
Question
Did this practice continue into 58 59 etc.....?
Any one have one or seen one?
I have the other green markings on the body - color and sequence number

When I restored my 59, I did not find any green grease pencil marks as claimed by many. However I did find numbers or either side of the dash where the speaker resides. I assumed the it was a job number internally. When the cars was stripped in the trunk area (bulkhead) the original Inca Silver paint was there. Once that and the primer was remove, there was nothing. I'm not disupting that there was or wasn't a color indicator, there wasn't one on mine.
