    1966 L 36 valve covers

For an early November 65 build, should the pass valve cover have the AC indent. 66 roadster L36 no ac.

          Re: 1966 L 36 valve covers

Sorry to circle back on my own old thread but... I have a Nov 2 '65 build, with the "indent" pass valve cover and received a deduction for the "indent". I can replace the VC with "no indent" but shouldn't a Nov 2 build have the indent? the TIMJG says "the exact introduction or deletion date is unknown. The most likely occurrence is early (November 1965) and appearing until mid-production (January 1966)". Just trying to clean up a few things up for next judging. Thanks

And they came back in Mid March.

My Dec 13 65 build car, 427/390 HP had the dent a clear as day and I restored that car in 1980, and like the driveline that I was just reading of guys starting young, I have the pictures to prove it, build and youth.

Someone needs to fix the 66 JG!

Thanks Ronald! I'm wondering if the motor build date could influence this. My engine pad is T1021IL. So maybe not "early November"

Engines were built in Tonawanda - valve covers were put on the engine, not the car, so "somewhat" irrelevant to the build date of the vehicle.
