I had a wheel alignment several months ago. I went for a drive recently and the left front wheel collapsed. The upper control arm bushing came out. I (assume) bolts were not tightened. Very lucky, only a block from home, driving slow, no body damage.
Now, the upper control arm bushings needed replacing and a piece of the fan shroud was broken. I ordered a "correct" fan shroud from Corvette Central. Their replacement shroud was $186 and the correct shroud $350. After struggling with the correct shroud for a long time I removed it, measured it and all the dims in several places were off from my original. The visual look was perfect.
I have checked the Assembly manual for dims, no joy. I would like to find out what the distance is between the two studs on the lower rad support brackets. The "correct" replacement is 25 1/2" and my shroud is 26". Is there any way I can find the original dims for the shroud and support. CC is telling me I got what I ordered, so return shipping/boxing is all on me.
Tks Ken
