Question on the quanta frame paint

    Guys,

Happy 4th of July! I'm getting ready to paint the frame on another car of mine, a 70 GTO. Factory perfection is not essential but I want the frame to look factory-ish. I had planned on using my leftover Quanta medium black but I just realized I don't have enough. But what I do have is a quart of flat black and a quart of gloss black. If I'm looking for something close to medium black can I just mix 1/3 medium black with 1/3 flat and 1/3 gloss? Will that get me close? Is medium black just 1/2 gloss and 1/2 flat? I'm guessing other than the gloss factor these paints are all chemically compatible, correct? Thanks for your help.

Re: Question on the quanta frame paint

If they are all Quanta's semi gloss/ gloss/ flat paints they are in all likely hood fully mixable amongst themselves...
If they are different brands you may get a mess...

You can mix an ounce and see if they go into solution with one another if you have a question.
