    C-6 Electronic Issue

We have all heard about the battery disconnect and the loss of the clock function.

I tried to access the "OPTIONS" button and got a message that said "OPTIONS UNAVAILABLE"

Anyone else have this issue ? Wonder if it is related to the same power versus clock issue??

    Re: C-6 Electronic Issue

Here is a reported fix for the clock issue on the C6 from Paul Koerner:

"Hello all you C6 owners with NAVIGATION!!!

We all know the issues with the clocks going blank, well, here is the fix from Corvette engineering

Click the link below and download the file.

    https://tis2web.akamai.gm.com/radio/..._05_10_fix.zip

Burn the LOADING.KWI to a BLANK CD-R. Once this is completely burned and finished, go to your Corvette

#1 Make sure the vehicle is outside and the engine is running.

#2 On the radio display, press the Open/Close Faceplate Key

#3 Eject the map disc by pressing DVD Map Database Eject Key. Insert the Software Update Disc in the DVD Map Database Slot

The update will start automatically. You will see a progress bar on the screen. The update takes about 2 minutes. The vehicle logo will be seen once the update is completed.

Once you see the Corvette logo, remove the update disc and REINSTALL YOUR MAP DISC!

THIS IS NOT A MAP UPDATE< THIS IS ONLY FOR YOUR CLOCK BEING BLANK!

If you have any further questions, please post up.

All the best, and THANK YOU TO CORVETTE ENGINEERING for this fix, Paul"

I have not experienced the issue, so I haven't tried it.

      Re: C-6 Electronic Issue

I know this is an old thread... Just an FYI

Just swapped batteries in my 06 C6 and lost the clock.

This solution worked very well. Loaded the new firmware and the clock was back in 5 minutes.

Harry, I also lost the clock a few years ago when the change happened.

I was going to do that update but never did.

Eventually, the clock function returned on its own. Had the battery disconnected for several months when I was away too. Still okay.

Do you know if there was any automatic update done? Seems mine did.
