75 front carpet and seat belt cover

For 1975, was the front carpeting cut out around the plastic seat belt cover panel? or was the panel attached over the top of the carpet?

Since no one responded to your '75 question maybe these pics will help. Here's a nice photo showing the cover on a 74(red) and the rear of of the cover with seat installed from a '73. The '75 covers may be a little different but I would think they installed over the carpet too?

On my '75 the covers are installed over the carpet. Carpet is not cut. Photos are of the passenger side cover.
