Some time back I posted a review of the restoration door mirror I purchased.
It was a bit long winded, but to summarize, the mirror looks correct from 10 feet but is not even close when you inspect it up close.
With an upcoming NCRS show I thought I would reinstall the original 1963 mirror.
During the attempt I found out the mirror base gasket is to short to use to reinstall the original mirror!
Can anyone send me to a vendor that has a correct fitting early 63 mirror base gasket? The same mirror is used on my 1964 Chevelle so I think they should be out there.
I have to give GM a shout out as the original mirror still looks great after all these years. Of course it was only exposed to the elements for 15 years but still it has held up remarkably well.
Thanks
Rick
