        Paragon made those charts.

More of the information is in the Corvette Chassis Restoration Book also.

If you're asking me where I found the bolt charts initially they were in an older Paragon Corvette catalog but for some reason after Richard Fortier left Paragon they were not repeated in later catalogs. If I recall I think I scanned them from the ones I had and saved them to my files because at my age I got tired of looking for that one catalog for that bolt chart. Sharing the charts will help others.

I now realize/remember that when I sent them out I made the plating mistake.
I actually have a picture of the reproductions and the originals side by side.
Reproduction is black and the original incorrectly plated in Zinc.

What threw me was the grade.
Why a grade 8 application on the flimsy front bumpers is beyond me.

I am attaching a picture of the spacer for these bolts.
It indicates the width of the spacer as received from Paragon.

              thanks for the quick response.
              Rick

Cautionary word on hydrogen embrittlement by plating a hardened bolt.

They can snap at the most inopportune time.

... and there was a very good reason why those bolts were hardened grade 8 with the .120 thick steel bumpers, Engineering 101, crash impact safety and more... the steel in your mid-year is a lot stronger than the fiber glass that surrounds you as too many have found out over the years.

I called Paragon, they are in the back of their catalogs (page 115 thru 119)

Might explain why they went to thinner bumper brackets in 64.

And in color now. That will help a lot. Thanks!
