    '64 Alternator Clock Position

Could someone verify the Alternator Clock Position for 1964 250hp 1100668; my alternator is at 3 o'oclock but the NCRS judging guide states that the wiring harness off-white push-in plug hole in the housing is in the 9 o'clock position when viewed from the back, in order to do this the clock position would have to be at 12 not 3, which one do I go buy?
