    1965 trim tag "overstamp"

This was just posted on Corvette Forum. The owner is asking if this could have happened at the factory. Owner says the car has been known to him, or owned by him, for the last 20 years and no tags were replaced during that timeframe.

    Thread to CF discussion:

Pictures of the overstamped date code and year of manufacture on the trim tag. What do we think?

Is it live, or is it Memorex?

Does it seem the body number vs the VIN don’t make sense? I could be totally off base.

Edit. Also, my 66 trim tag says F07. Was there a change from 65 to 66 on how the date is expressed?
