    L82 Assembly stamps

I went and looked at a 35k mile L82, the engine appears correct. It looks like someone could have taken some sandpaper to the deck at one time, there was a lot of grime and I wiped and wiped but it streaked, however I got good photos of the actual stamp and then inverted them in photoshop, I really don't have issues with the stampings.

I want to know judging opinions... this car would ultimately be cleaned, detailed, and entered into flight judging.

This looks to me like the original stamping was removed with a die grinder and a new stamping made over it. This was actually a GM protocol for correcting a mis-stamping that involved more than 2 or 3 characters. So, this could have been done at Flint Engine.

Will this effect any judging for flight status?

That I cannot say for sure but I expect it will. Even though this could have been done at the factory, it's not typical of factory production.

Actually, it is typical for a grind out.
So, I suspect it would do just fine.
