Guys and Gals,
I am terribly saddened to convey to you all that another great member of the NCRS has left us. Joe Marocco. He was an inspirational member who served his chapter well, guided many of us, befriended many of us and led by example. He was respected in his community and beloved by his friends. I got to know him well over the past decade. He was a family man, leaving a wonderful family including his children and a fantastic wife. He loved the NCRS perhaps more than anyone I know. He taught me, guided me, inspired me and respected me. I am not ashamed to say that as a grown man I am tearful writing this post. I always am saddened when I read the posts relating to the loss of a member, but this one hits home....my home. Joe was a national judge, a Bowtie judge, a father, a friend, a husband and a mentor. I will SO miss hearing his voice. I can not convey to you all what a loss the organization suffered with the loss of Joe. His wonderful wife Natalie as well as Joe's kids need your prayers and thoughts.
When I first started out in this wonderful organization he inspired me and guided me. I will miss him terribly. Joe. may God bless you and your family. I truly thank you for your friendship. He had an outstanding sense of humor....him being a Chicago Blackhawks fan and me being a New York Rangers fan led to some expletive-filled conversations - none of which were within 100 yards of my kids earshot. His career in human resources served him well, as he was as personable as he was compassionate. Joe, I can't believe I won't be able to hear your voice again, I can't believe I won't see you again. I won't forget you Joe, ever. May the members of the NCRS rise and salute you. You were and are a truly great friend. Let's not forget a wonderful member of our organization. I certainly won't. Love you Joey J Nuts. .....ARA
