1967 exhaust manifold restoration best way ?

I just got a set of correct dated exhaust manifold for my 67 350 hp

what is the best way to knock off the standard surface rust and preserve for Top Flight ?

I like the natural look. I would use scotch brite pad after spraying/soaking them with WD-40. That has worked for me as long as the rust is not too deep. Whatever you do don't paint them that crappy looking silver paint that some shops sell for exhaust manifolds. My 2 cents!
