69 4spd reverse harness routing

Guys,

I'm trying to figure out the routing of the reverse harness on my 69 L46 4spd. There seems to be a discrepancy between the AIM and the JG. My aim states route the wires thru the existing speedo cable clip, which appears to indicate the clip mounted to the underbody of the car. The JG states there is a clip that appears to mount on or near the shift interlock cable support. I cannot find a reference to this in the AIM. The closest clip I could find to working I attached to my interlock support for illustration of how It would look assembled. I've attached several pics of the area in question but since there is more than four I will have to add in a second post. Any assistance is appreciated.

There are numerous "features" we have found on the cars that do not follow the AIM. Ultimately the cars tell us how they were built. It would be nice to have more data points that the one given in the TIM&JG.

Can you tell me if the clip I have in the picture I attached is close in appearance to the clip shown in the JG, or does it have a hole in it and gets mounted to the same side cover bolt that the interlock bracket is bolted to? I just can't tell from the picture what it looks like or how it's mounted.

I will make a request to the curator of my car and see what we can find. There might be another car more accessible in the "museum." Just hang on.
