1957 Glove box door molding screws

Were the phillips heads screws that hold the moldings on the glove box door painted . The clutch head screws that hold the hinge on were .I think the door was painted without the moldings installed ,so the screws would not be painted ??

Don I have attached a few pictures from my bowtie car and another very original unrestore 57. You can see that all four lower screws are painted.
I believe these two cars to be the reason for the 56/57 judging manual that says "All four lower screws may have been painted exterior color"

So the upper screws were not painted and the lower ones were.Here are some originals that i though had been painted . Guess not
