Auto Custom Carpet Underlayment

I am installing a carpet underlayment made by ACC that looks a lot like the original Corvette stuff. lt is jute with a black rubbery layer on top that ACC calls "Mastic with Pad". However, it seems quite a bit thicker than the original, and I am wondering how the carpet is going to fit over this thick layer. Have any of you used this underlayment? How did the carpet fit and how did you manage to put the seat belt bolts thru this thick combination of carpet and pad?

Patrick, I have cut quarter sized holes in the underlayment over the seat belt bolts so that they lay down a bit. They were square shaped to sort of match the seat slider contact area. Paul
