3863752 Rear Valance Fiberglass Panel Made by Rockwell International for GM... When?

I wanted to post these photos in an archived discussion but could not do that. Search "Rockwell" to find the older discussion(s).

This is a 3863752 (Service Parts Group 12.981) Rear Valance Fiberglass Panel. It's for a 65-67 Corvette with Side Exhaust.

I am curious to know if there is, or should be, a date code on this part. (The archived discussion gives a range of time, based on the company name "Rockwell International". John Hinckley also explained the different versions of the Rockwell name. It's a very interesting read. See link.)

My original paint 1971 has Rockwell stickers on the insides of the front fenders...
I believe the first number is the week of production and second is the year.

28 71 for 28th week of 1971 would correlate with the build date of my car mid July.

It's not in the AIM. Presumably, it's a part covered in the "Bill of Materials" which we don't have available.

Thanks Joe, a little weird it got that far down the road, meaning all through the mid-years, as it should have could have been there, just like any other 'Standard Equipment' for a given RPO.
