    I'll just say that I've HAD a car fire and the less fumbling around you do with getting to a fire extinguisher the better...
    Fumbling with some mechanism between a passenger's legs down on the floor board is a personal choice I guess...

    And Halon or Halitron is the way to go - the others work but clean up is a PITA...

      My old head is pretty soft contrary to popular belief and I would not want the force of a cell phone hitting it at 70 mph, let alone a 5# fire extinguisher.

        If GM offered fire extinguishers as an accessory for a specific year then at this point it should be judged as an accessory if attached, or is placed in the car at the time of judging.
