427/390 power glide throttle linkage

Does anyone have a photo of a correct throttle and transmission kick down linkage showing how the springs are attached? The JG indicates the springs are attached to a bracket mounted to the intake manifold bolts. I think that is not correct. Mine looks like this - which I am pretty sure is correct -and this is a National Top Flight car.



Would appreciate any feedback - I know there are not very many of these cars out there!

Thanks for that feedback, Keith. I was judging a 427/390 powerglide car this weekend that had a similar configuration, and the owner raised a question about it because the JG specifies a different spring configuration. So now we have three cars that all have similar configurations.

There is a picture in the Adams book that shows the throttle rod, but it's very hard to make out the springs. It appears that the throttle return spring is exactly like mine - but I can't make out the other one at all.
