Whitewall Tires for my 72
Any recommendations, or even better some pictures, of whitewall tire options for my 72 convertible. I would like to go radials. Are bfgoodrich silver towns with the 3/8 whitewall my best option?

The tire landscape is constantly changing. Since you should have 8" wide wheels, I recommend the 225/70R15 size. Search the Web and big online retailers for this size. There are likely many to choose from, but most will be off brands that you maybe never heard of, and low speed rating - probably no better than T - with rock hard compounds that lack the safety feature of a spiral wrapped nylon belt above the steel belts... basically "van tires". Unfortunately you will likely not find anything better.

White wall width will be an issue Not sure if Diamond Back or someone else makes a narrow stripes tire and if they do it will be pricy
BF Goodrich is now owned by Michelin so their tires should be of a very good quality.Founder - Carolinas Chapter NCRSComment
