Guys,
I'm trying to sort out the wires and vacuum hoses running under the front grill area. Looking at the AIM and what I gathered from the JG it looks like there were harness retaining clips that were riveted there originally. These must have been done prior to assembly of the nose because I can't find this procedure in my AIM which must mean it came to the factory with those clips in place. My car needed the top surround replaced and the new metal reinforcement doesn't have these. In addition, I'm not sure about the location of the horn mounting nuts that are in the new reinforcement bar, and both the AIM and the JG are not very helpful. I've attached a few pics of that area from my car as well as the relevant pic from the AIM. it looks like there were originally three clips there. Can anyone confirm this for me? I do see that there are three holes that are there in the support I'm guessing for the three harness clips to be riveted there. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can remedy this now that the car is together and painted? Thanks for your help.
Mike
