    1961 Corvette measurements

My Corvettes are in storage and I can not get to them at this time, I am in need of a few measurements.
    1. From the rear bumpers to where the rear soft top or hard top window meets the car.
    2. The height of the car at the same point.
    3. From the front of the car to the start of the windshield.

    Thanks for any help!

    Ray,
Since no one has replied to your question, I will give you some rough measurements from my 1960. I was not sure exactly what you are asking for so I have tried to be specific on where I took got these numbers.
    1. 47.25" from the rear most tip of the rear bumper (in the middle by the license light) to the rear of the soft top (close to the middle).
    2. 36" height (from ground) to the middle of the soft top - the middle top of the deck lid.
    3. 65" from the furthest forward tip of the lower windshield chrome (in the middle) to the furthest forward tip of the center grill tooth.

Sounds as if you're trying to "bump" a ceiling to allow the Corvette to be raised on a lift in a small garage.

Thanks for the replies! I am looking to purchase a drive on lift. I am trying to confirm that I can open the garage door and not hit the 1961.
        Thanks again, Ray

Have you downloaded the AMA data from the GM Heritage Center? It's located in the vehicle information kits from the following link: https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-...tion-kits.html

All of the dimensions you are looking for, plus some, should be in there.

You may want to consider a high lift kit for your garage door. It allows the door to track close to your ceiling instead on just above the door opening which is standard. Any good garage door company should be able to do this for you. If a do it yourselfer, you can buy the vertical track extensions and longer cables needed in a high lift kit. Note you may need to change the springs if its a top torsion bar with coil springs on each side of center. A high lift door will generally give you enough room (depending upon your ceiling height) to use a 4 post lift and work underneath or park another car under there.

              Ray,
Here is my lift installed in an 11 foot ceiling garage, this lift has 68" clearance under the lift for another vehicle. The high lift door is shown including the top torsion bar and a LiftMaster opener mounted on the end of the torsion bar. With the top down the only precaution I take is to drop the radio antenna. Hope this helps. Rick
